Dicks Sporting Goods

Complete guide on our Dicks Sporting Goods module

Our DSG module is designed for fast, reliable retail checkouts across scheduled launches and random restocks. With multiple task modes, strong monitoring options and support for both ISPs and residential proxies, it excels on high demand products that frequently restock without warning.

Preliminary Checklist

Before setting up tasks on DSG, make sure you have everything below prepared:

  • Profiles

Create and save your checkout profiles under the Profiles tab in Stellar. These contain your billing, shipping and payment info.

Important: DSG does not support 3DS cards, use a payment method that does not require 3D Secure.

  • Proxies

  • High-quality ISP or Residential proxies are required.

  • Low-quality or flagged proxies will cause Akamai-related errors.

  • For reliable performance, consider using Stella Proxies ISPs or Residentials.

    • If you're looking for proxies, check out Stella Proxies for high quality ISP and Residential proxies.

  • Cook Group Access

Optional but recommended. Your cook group can help you find product URLs, SKUs and early restock alerts.

  • Test Task

Before big drops and restocks, run a test task on a random in stock product to confirm your profiles, proxies and delays are functioning correctly.

Supported Modes

Monitor mode

Used only for monitoring. This task will detect restocks and ping your Watch Tasks (Normal or Launch Mode) when the product becomes available.

Normal mode

Standard checkout flow for general restocks and everyday releases.

Launch mode

Used for scheduled releases or timed drops, typically announced in advance. Best for products that go live at a specific time.

When to Use Each Mode

  • Monitor Mode → Detects restocks and pings your checkout tasks

  • Normal Mode → Use for regular restocks or non-scheduled items

  • Launch Mode → Use for scheduled drops (e.g., 10 AM releases)

Profile Selection

Select a profile from the Profiles tab. That information will be used at checkout.

Note: DSG does not support 3DS cards. Use a card that does not require 3D Secure authentication.

Proxy Setup

DSG is extremely strict with bot protection, so proxy quality is crucial.

Use:

  • High-quality ISPs (best performance)

  • Residential proxies (work well too)

    • If you're looking for proxies, check out Stella Proxies for high quality ISP and Residential proxies

Avoid:

  • Public, cheap, or low-quality proxies

  • These will trigger Akamai errors and cause your tasks to fail

Product URL

The Product URL identifies the exact item you're attempting to run.

Example: https://www.dickssportinggoods.com/p/-/24PAAUNBLG2324SLCXFLA

Paste the full URL into your task.

You should be receiving product URLs from your cookgroup.

Monitor Types

You can choose between three monitor types:

  • Normal (Default): Standard monitoring endpoint

  • API: Alternative monitoring endpoint

  • API2: Alternative monitoring endpoint

For best performance: Create three monitor tasks per product. One using Normal, one using API and one using API2

Color Selector

Optional field. If the product has multiple colors, type the color name you want (e.g., “White”).

If blank, a random color will be selected.

Size Selector

  • Choose a size from the dropdown, or

  • Select Random for “One Size” products

Delay Recommendations

Task Type
Delay Range
Notes

Monitoring Tasks

4000–7000 ms

Adjust based on proxy quality and site activity

Reset Delay

≤ 5000 ms

Controls retry frequency

Checkout Tasks

≤ 2000 ms

Faster delay for better speed at checkout

Tip: Always run at least one Monitor Task per product to catch restocks quickly.

Quantity (QTY)

Check with your cookgroup for QTY recommendations. DSG often has strict limits.

Stellar will NOT automatically correct QTY if you enter a number higher than site limits.

Enabling Watch Task:

  • Your checkout task waits for a Monitor Mode task to detect the restock

  • Reduces proxy bans and errors

  • Improves overall performance

If unchecked:

  • Your checkout task will monitor on its own

  • Higher proxy consumption

  • Higher chance of bans or instability
