Set up guest checkout, stock monitors and app-only releases with the Macys module in Stellar 4.0.

Choose Macys when creating your task group in Stellar 4.0. This module uses guest checkout, so you need a checkout profile rather than a saved Macy’s account. For restocks, pair a Monitor task with a Normal checkout task for the same product SKU.

Quick Start: Recommended Setup

1. Prepare your profile, tested proxy groups and the product SKU.
2. Create a monitor task for the SKU and a normal checkout task for the same product.
3. Enable Watch Task on normal and review quantity, Maximum Price and any size choices.
4. Use App only when the release requires the app flow.
5. Start both tasks when ready to buy and check current release guidance for timing and delays.

Preliminary Checklist

• Save a profile with accurate billing, shipping and payment information.
• Prepare tested proxy groups. ISP proxies are the existing recommendation for monitoring and residential proxies for checkout. Keep an alternative provider or pool available.
• Get the exact product SKU and quantity limit from the product page or your cook group. A SKU is the product identifier; it is not the full page URL.
• Check whether the release is app-only before using Use App?.
• If you test ahead of time, choose an item you actually intend to buy. A running Normal task can place a real order.

Open the Macy’s product page and identify its product ID in the URL or product information, or use the exact SKU supplied by your cook group. Enter only that identifier in Product SKU. If a page contains several numbers or variants, confirm the intended SKU instead of guessing.

Accounts & Sessions

The Normal checkout workflow described here uses the selected profile for guest checkout. Follow the current task fields rather than the old Sessions navigation.

Supported Modes

• Restock setup: create monitor and normal tasks with matching Product SKU values. Enable Watch Task? on Normal so it waits for the Monitor to detect stock.
• Independent checkout setup: run normal with Watch Task? off. That task checks the product itself and attempts checkout when available. You do not need a separate Monitor just to use this independent setup.

A Monitor only checks availability; it does not buy the item. A Normal task performs checkout using its selected profile. For a beginner restock setup, start with one Monitor per product and one Normal task per intended profile, then adjust only when needed.

Monitor Mode Breakdown

Open Tasks, select a Macys group and click Create Task. Choose monitor.

Name

Optional label to help you recognize this task. Use the product, account or purpose rather than leaving many tasks indistinguishable.

Mode

Select the mode named in this breakdown. Changing the mode changes the available fields and what the task does.

Monitor Proxy

choose the tested group used to check availability.

Product SKU

enter the exact product identifier. Use the same SKU in the matching Normal task.

Max Price

enter the maximum acceptable product price. When using Watch Task, configure this on the Monitor because the price check happens during monitoring. Do not treat it as a guaranteed total including shipping and tax.

Use App?

enable only for an app-only release when current instructions call for it. Keep the matching checkout setup consistent with those instructions.

Monitoring Delay

the app starts at 3000 ms. The existing recommended range is 4000–7000 ms (4–7 seconds); adjust for proxy quality and current release guidance.

Reset Delay

the earlier guide recommends 5000 ms or less. Treat that as a starting recommendation, not a reason to use zero or retry aggressively.

Start Time and End Time

optional scheduling controls. Leave blank if starting and stopping manually.

Qty at the bottom

how many Monitor task copies to create. Start with 1 per product.

Click Create after reviewing the settings. There is no Profile or Account selector in the current Macys Monitor form.

Normal Mode Breakdown

Click Create Task in the same Macys group and choose normal.

Name

select the billing, shipping and payment details for this purchase.

Checkout Proxy

units to request in the order. Use 1 unless you have confirmed a higher allowed quantity for the release.

Delay

the form starts at 3000 ms. The old checkout recommendation was 2000 ms or less, but faster is not always better. Follow current release guidance and increase delays if the site or proxies are rate-limiting your requests.

Discount Code

optional. Enter a valid code exactly, without extra spaces; remove it if it does not apply to the item.

Use App?

enable only when the release is app-only and current instructions call for it.

Max Price

set the acceptable product price for a task monitoring independently. When using Watch Task, set the price limit on the Monitor as well.

Watch Task?

enable for the paired Monitor + Normal walkthrough. Leave off only when you intend the task to check independently.

Start Time and End Time

optional.

Qty at the bottom

task copies to create, not product units. Start with 1 so you do not accidentally duplicate purchase attempts.

Click Create. Creating a task does not start it. Review the SKU, profile, product quantity and Watch Task setting before running.

FAQ & Release Preparation

Example: one product restock

1. Obtain the real SKU for the product you want.
2. Create one monitor task with that SKU, a tested Monitor Proxy and the maximum product price you will accept.
3. Create one normal task with the same SKU, your profile and Checkout Proxy. Set the product Qty to the allowed amount and enable Watch Task?.
4. Start the Monitor and Normal tasks. Confirm the Monitor is checking stock and Normal is waiting for a monitor ping.
5. Keep the tasks running while waiting for the restock. When stock is detected, the Normal task attempts checkout.
6. Check the outcome and order confirmation. Stop purchase attempts you no longer need once you have the intended order.

“Waiting for Monitor” or “Waiting for Monitor Ping” is an expected status when the product is not available. A ping is only a stock signal; it does not reserve inventory or guarantee checkout.

Use App for app-only releases

Use App? is available in both modes. It selects the app flow for releases that are available through the retailer’s app. Enable it only when your release information identifies an app-only drop, and follow that release’s instructions for both Monitor and Normal tasks. The option does not make an unavailable product in stock.

Common Errors and Fixes

Waiting for Monitor

Confirm a Monitor task is running for the same Product SKU, the Normal task has Watch Task? enabled, and the Monitor’s Max Price permits the intended item. Check Use App? against the release instructions. If Watch Task is off, the task is using the independent flow instead.

Payment failed

Review the profile’s card, billing address and available funds. Use another valid payment method if the card is declined. Avoid assuming every failure means the product is out of stock.

Out of stock

The item may have sold out before checkout completed. Verify the SKU and keep the appropriate monitoring setup ready for another wave. Do not automatically lower delays; excessive requests can cause blocks rather than improve the result.

Invalid SKU

Confirm the identifier on the actual product page or with current release information. Check that you entered the SKU rather than a full URL, an unrelated number or an old variant ID.

Proxy banned or rate limited

Try another tested group or provider and reduce repeated requests by increasing overly aggressive delays. Lowering a delay sends requests more frequently and can make blocking worse.

Task stuck while adding to cart

Read the exact status, check current site or release announcements, and verify proxy health. If a restart is necessary, restart the affected task after correcting the likely cause rather than repeatedly restarting every task.
