SportChekCa

Set up SportChekCa guest checkout, Shape Harvesters and monitoring in Stellar 4.0.

SportChekCa is the Canadian SportChek module. Guest tasks attempt checkout using a profile; Monitor tasks check supported release products and signal waiting checkout tasks. Shape cookies are required for checkout.

Quick Start: Recommended Setup

1. Prepare a Canadian checkout profile, working proxies and the correct product variant ID.
2. Open Harvesters → Shape Harvesters and create a harvester with Site set to SportchekCa. Start it and confirm that cookies are being generated.
3. Create a SportChekCa task group, choose Create Task → guest, and select your Profile and Checkout Proxy.
4. In Variant List, enter the variant ID and press Enter to add it. Start with one product and a product Qty of 1.
5. Use a sensible Delay; the current form defaults to 3000 ms, while the existing guide recommends 5000 ms as a conservative starting point. Leave Endless Mode off.
6. For a timed release, leave Watch Task off. For supported random release-item restocks, run Monitor for the same variant and enable Watch Task on Guest.
7. Review all details before creating and starting tasks. An in-stock checkout test can place a real order; only run it if you intend to buy the item.

Preliminary Checklist

Before setting up tasks on SportChek CA, make sure you have everything below prepared:

• Profiles

Create and save your checkout profiles under the Profiles tab in Stellar. These contain your billing, shipping and payment info.

• Proxies

• ISP proxies – Recommended for some of your tasks
• Residential proxies – Recommended for majority of your tasks
  • Save both proxy groups under the Proxies tab in Stellar.
    • If you're looking for proxies, check out Stella Proxies for high quality ISP and Residential proxies. As always, it's recommended to have multiple proxy providers, don't just rely on one.

• Cook Group Access

Optional but recommended. Your cook group can help you find product URLs, SKUs and early restock alerts.

For your first setup, use a small, tested residential proxy pool and watch its data usage during long runs. Working ISP/datacenter proxies are also an option. SportChek’s protection can block either type, so test the provider you plan to use and keep a working alternative.

Shape Harvesters

Shape is part of the retailer’s automated-traffic protection. A Shape Harvester uses a browser to generate the temporary cookies, sometimes called headers, needed by checkout requests. These are separate from a saved-account login session and from solving a captcha.

The screenshot below shows the SportchekCa Shape Harvester setup in Stellar 4.0.

1. Open Harvesters → Shape Harvesters → Create Shape Harvester(s).
2. Choose Site: SportchekCa. Use a recognizable Name.
3. Cookie Interval is the delay between harvests, in milliseconds. The current example is 20000-30000, meaning 20–30 seconds.
4. Cookie Expiration controls how long generated cookies stay valid. The field recommends 300000 ms, or five minutes.
5. Choose an installed Browser: Chrome, Chromium, Edge, Opera or Brave. Select a working Proxy Group when using proxies.
6. Leave optional Start Time / End Time blank for an unscheduled setup. Keep Invisible off while learning so you can see the browser. Start with Qty 1.
7. Select Create, then start that harvester. Confirm cookies are available before checkout and keep it running when fresh cookies are needed.

Supported Modes

guest attempts to buy normal products. monitor checks supported release items and alerts Guest tasks with Watch Task enabled. The existing guide limits Monitor to release items; do not assume it monitors every ordinary product.

Guest Mode

The screenshot below shows SportChekCa Guest mode in Stellar 4.0.

Guest Field Breakdown

• Name: optional task label. Mode: choose guest.
• Profile: required checkout details. No Account field is used in this form.
• Checkout Proxy: the proxy group used for checkout.
• Variant List: select a compatible Tag group or enter variant IDs directly. The hint says “Select tag(s) or enter SKU(s).” Enter an ID and press Enter to add it as a selected value.
• Endless Mode: repeats checkout after success. Leave off unless additional orders are intended. Enabling it reveals Endless Limit; set a deliberate maximum.
• Delay: retry interval in milliseconds. Default 3000; the existing starting recommendation is 5000, adjusted for proxy quality and errors.
• Qty near Delay: units requested per order. Start at 1; popular releases may limit orders to one unit.
• Watch Task: enabled waits for a matching Monitor signal. Disabled lets Guest operate independently.
• Start Time / End Time: optional operating window. You must still start the task in Stellar.
• Qty at the bottom: number of task rows to create, not product quantity.

The old Maximum Price field is not present in the current Guest form. Check the retailer’s price before starting instead of relying on an unavailable price limit.

Finding the Product Variant

A variant identifies a particular product option. Use the correct option for the size or colour you want.

The existing product-page example is https://www.sportchek.ca/en/pdp/asics-men-s-gel-excite-9-running-shoes-13967115f.333644411.html.

In that example, the variant is 333644411: the number after the final dot and before .html. The screenshot uses this as a format example, not a recommendation to buy that item. Confirm the correct current variant with the product page or your cook group.

Monitor Mode

The screenshot below shows SportChekCa Monitor mode in Stellar 4.0.

Monitor Field Breakdown

• Name: optional label. Mode: choose monitor.
• Monitor Proxy: group used for stock checks. Monitor has no Profile field.
• Variant List: the variant IDs or compatible Tag group to monitor. Match the products used by your Guest tasks.
• Monitoring Delay: time between checks in milliseconds. The current default is 3000; use a sustainable interval such as the existing 5000 ms starting recommendation and adjust for proxy performance.
• Reset Delay: time before checking again after stock is detected. Follow release-specific guidance when provided.
• Start Time / End Time: optional operating window for a task you have started.
• Qty at the bottom: number of Monitor tasks to create.

Monitor + Guest Example

1. Use one supported release-item variant in Monitor.
2. Use that same variant in a Guest task with the correct profile and working checkout proxies. Enable Watch Task.
3. Start Shape Harvesters, then start both tasks. Guest waits until Monitor detects stock, then attempts checkout using fresh cookies.

FAQ

Do I need a SportChek account?

Guest checkout uses the selected profile. The current Guest form does not have an Account selector.

Why do I need Shape Harvesters?

Checkout needs current Shape cookies. A successful stock check does not prove cookies are available for checkout.

Does Monitor buy the product?

No. It signals Guest tasks. Those checkout tasks need to be running and configured for the matching product.

Common Errors and Fixes

Waiting for cookies or checkout cannot proceed

Confirm the Shape Harvester Site is SportchekCa, its browser is installed, proxies work and the harvester is running. Cookies expire, so keep generating fresh ones when needed.

Waiting for a monitor signal

Check Watch Task, confirm Monitor is running for the same variant, and remember the existing release-item limitation. For independent checkout, disable Watch Task.

Wrong product or no stock found

Recheck the variant for the exact size/colour. A product URL is not the same as the variant ID. Confirm that the product is supported by the selected mode.

Proxy errors or rate limits

Test another working proxy group, increase delays and check residential data balance. Lower delays can trigger blocks sooner.

Unexpected additional orders

Stop the affected tasks, check order confirmations and review Endless Mode, product Qty and task Qty before running again.
