Accounts replaces the Identities tab in Stellar AIO 4.0. Use it to organize retailer accounts and their saved login sessions for use with tasks.
If an older guide refers to Identities or saved sessions, look for Accounts in the current app. IMAP now has its own tab in the sidebar.

Accounts, profiles and sessions explained
- Account: Your login for a retailer, such as the email and password you use on that retailer’s website.
- Account group: A folder under a retailer that keeps related accounts together.
- Profile: Saved contact, shipping, billing and payment details in the Profiles tab. An account and a profile serve different purposes.
- Session: Saved login information, including cookies, that can help the retailer recognize a previous sign-in. Cookies are small pieces of data used to maintain that login state.
Sessions can reduce repeated sign-ins, but they are not permanent. A retailer can expire or invalidate a session, so you may need to log in again. Follow the retailer’s guide for the supported login method and task mode.
1. Choose a retailer and create a group
- Open Accounts in Stellar’s sidebar.
- Find and select the retailer in the list on the left. Use Search... to help find it.
- Use the retailer’s New Group control.
- Enter a recognizable Group Name and select Add.
- Select the new group beneath the retailer.
For example, you could create Main Accounts beneath the retailer you want to run. The Adafruit group in these screenshots is only an example. Choose the correct retailer for your own accounts.
If Stellar says No Account Group Selected, select a group beneath the retailer to view its accounts and controls.
2. Add an account
- With the correct retailer group selected, choose Add Account.
- Enter an Account Name to help you recognize the account.
- Enter the retailer account’s Account Email and Account Password. These fields are required in the form shown below.
- Review the details and select Save.
The blank Add Account form. Use your retailer login, not your Stellar license or Discord login.
Use an existing retailer account. Adding an entry here is not the same as registering a new account on the retailer’s website. Forms and login requirements can differ by retailer; use its guide for any additional setup.
Retailer accounts should allow sign-in with email and password, without account 2FA, passkeys or other additional sign-in protections, unless the retailer guide specifies an exception. Amazon Request Login requires its 2-Step Verification (2SV) authenticator setup; keep that enabled and follow the Amazon guide. This applies to retailer accounts, not your email inbox: Gmail’s 2-Step Verification must remain enabled for its app password.
3. Import multiple accounts
Mass Import Accounts lets you add a list instead of filling out the form repeatedly.
- Select the correct retailer and account group.
- Choose Mass Import Accounts.
- Follow the format shown in the import box. The Adafruit form shown here uses
email;password, with a semicolon between the two parts. - Put each account on a separate line, review the list and select Save.
The import form shows the expected account format.
Check the imported entries before using them. Do not substitute the colon-separated proxy format for the account format shown in this box.
4. Use accounts with tasks
Adding or importing an account saves its credentials; it does not log in by itself. Checkout or login-mode tasks use those credentials to sign in and save the login session. Follow the retailer’s guide to choose the appropriate mode and complete any verification steps.
After saving accounts, open Tasks and follow the retailer’s setup guide to select the appropriate account or account group. Creating an account group does not create or start tasks.
Some modes require accounts, while others use guest checkout. The presence of a retailer in Accounts does not mean every mode for that retailer needs an account.
Find and manage accounts
Use Search Accounts to find an account in the selected group. The status filter offers All Statuses, Ready and Not Ready. If an account seems missing, return to All Statuses and clear the search before assuming it was removed.
The toolbar also includes Export, Delete All and Clear Cookies. These controls are unavailable in an empty group. Check the selected retailer and group before using a bulk action. Keep any exported account files private because they can contain sensitive login information.
Clear Cookies deletes the saved login session while keeping the account’s saved email and password. After clearing cookies, rerun the appropriate checkout or login-mode tasks to log in again and save new session cookies. Clearing cookies is different from deleting the account.
Where did IMAP go?
IMAP is a separate sidebar tab in 4.0. It connects an email inbox for supported workflows that need access to email, such as retrieving verification messages. It is different from storing a retailer login in Accounts.
The password for a retailer account is not necessarily the password or app password for its email inbox. Follow the IMAP Tab and the retailer guide when that workflow requires IMAP.
Before starting tasks
- Check that the account is saved under the correct retailer and group.
- Confirm the retailer email and password are correct.
- Follow any required verification or login steps in the retailer guide.
- Select the intended account or group in the task setup.
- If a login fails, read the task’s exact status before changing settings or clearing saved data.
When requesting support, share the error or status and the retailer you are using. Keep passwords, cookies and other login details out of screenshots.
