Use the BestbuyCa module for Best Buy Canada. Guest tasks attempt checkout, while Monitor tasks check stock and can wake matching checkout tasks.
Quick Start — Recommended Setup
- Prepare a Canadian checkout profile, Canadian proxies, the product SKU and a phone-verification method.
- Create a BestbuyCa task group and choose guest. Select your profile and checkout proxy group, enter the SKU, and start with Qty 1.
- Select pickup or shipping in Fulfillment. For pickup, enter the Radius in miles and check that the pickup name and location are suitable.
- Choose an OTP Provider: Manual, SMS Man, Text Chest or Voip.MS. Configure the chosen service before starting, or be ready to enter a code manually.
- If using stock monitoring, create a monitor task with the same SKU and matching pickup/shipping method, and enable Watch Task on the guest task. Start both tasks.
Preliminary Checklist
Create and save your checkout profiles under the Profiles tab in Stellar. These contain your billing, shipping and payment info.
Use Canadian proxies. The existing retailer-specific guidance favors unblocked Canadian datacenter/ISP proxies for speed, with residential proxies as another option if those are blocked. Residential monitoring can use significant data. Save your groups in Proxies and avoid relying on a single provider.
If you're looking for proxies, check out Stella Proxies for high quality ISP and Residential proxies
The original proxy recommendation is also available through the Stella Proxies guide.
Have a valid payment method, correct billing details, product SKU and a working phone-verification setup ready. Begin with one unit and respect per-order, per-person and household limits.
Accounts & Sessions
The current module uses guest checkout and has no saved Account field. Your selected profile supplies the checkout details. An OTP is a one-time verification code; it is separate from an account password.
Manual OTP & Captcha Harvesters
If you choose Manual as the OTP Provider, keep Google Chrome installed and a captcha harvester available for code entry. This window is used to submit the verification code when the product requires one.
Enter a reachable phone number in OTP Number if you want to override the profile phone number. If you leave it blank, the profile phone number is used. When a code is requested, enter it in the harvester prompt and submit it. If the prompt does not open automatically, open a captcha harvester manually.
Supported Modes
- guest: checkout for pickup or shipping.
- monitor: stock checks, with pickup and shipping available under Monitoring Method. The old guide’s statement that only pickup monitoring exists no longer matches the 4.0 dropdown.
Guest — Checkout
- Name: optional task label.
- Profile: your saved billing, delivery and payment details.
- Checkout Proxy: the saved proxy group used for checkout.
- SKU: the numeric product identifier. See the example below.
- Delay: the time between retries, in milliseconds. The current default is 3000 ms. The existing 3000–5000 ms recommendation is a starting range for ongoing monitoring/checkouts, not a guarantee that a proxy will stay unblocked.
- Qty beside Delay: units requested in each order. Start with 1; popular products often have strict limits.
- Fulfillment: pickup selects a store within your defined pickup area; shipping uses the delivery address in your profile.
- Radius: shown for pickup and measured in miles, not kilometres. It searches around the profile postal code. The existing guide documents a 25-mile default if blank; entering your intended radius explicitly avoids accidentally searching too far away.
- Pickup Name: shown for pickup. Enter the first and last name of the person collecting the order, or leave it blank to use the profile name.
- OTP Number: overrides the phone number in the profile for manual verification. Leave blank to use the profile phone number.
- Discount Code: enable Use Discount Code to reveal the code field. Leave disabled when not using a valid code.
- Watch Task?: waits for a matching monitor task to detect stock. Enable it when you intend to use Monitor + Guest.
- OTP Provider: Manual, SMS Man, Text Chest or Voip.MS. See setup guidance below.
- Start Time and End Time: optional scheduling. Leave empty if you will start and stop the task manually.
- Qty at the bottom: how many task copies to create. This is separate from the order Qty. Click Create to save the tasks.
Monitor — Stock Checks
- Name: optional task label.
- Profile: supplies the location used by the setup.
- Monitor Proxy: the group used for stock checks.
- SKU: the same product identifier used in your guest checkout tasks.
- Postal Code: overrides the postal code in the selected profile. Leave empty to use the profile postal code.
- Monitoring Delay: interval between stock checks in milliseconds. The current default is 3000 ms; start within the existing 3000–5000 ms range and adjust for current guidance and errors.
- Radius: shown for pickup monitoring. Enter your search distance in miles.
- Reset Delay: how long monitoring waits before resuming after it detects stock.
- Monitoring Method: choose pickup or shipping to match the guest task’s Fulfillment.
- Start Time and End Time: optional scheduling.
- Qty at the bottom: number of monitor task copies to create.
For pickup, the guest task builds a list of nearby stores from its profile and radius. A pickup monitor must detect stock at a store that matches that list before it can wake the task. Use compatible locations and the same product SKU; monitoring a distant area will not help a guest task limited to nearby stores.
For a shipping setup, select shipping in both the monitor’s Monitoring Method and the guest task’s Fulfillment. Enable Watch Task on the guest task and start both tasks.
OTP Provider Setup
Manual means you receive and enter the code yourself. SMS Man, Text Chest and Voip.MS are automatic phone services offered by the current task dropdown. Adding a service to Settings does not automatically select it in every task; choose the same provider in OTP Provider.
Configure credentials and check the connection in SMS & Phone Services before starting. A working balance check confirms the service connection, but does not guarantee that a suitable number or SMS code will be available.
Voip.MS Setup
- Create and fund your Voip.MS account if needed. Review its current number and SMS pricing before purchasing.
- Open DID Numbers → Order DIDs. A DID is the phone number you rent. Choose a Canadian number that supports SMS/MMS; the original walkthrough identifies eligible numbers by the green cellphone icon.
- Choose the appropriate plan and POP server. The original setup uses a per-minute plan and a nearby POP server. Confirm current options and charges in Voip.MS.
- Open DID Numbers → Manage DIDs, edit the number and enable SMS/MMS support.
- Enable API access in Voip.MS and allow the public IP address of the computer/server running Stellar. Set the API credentials required by the service; the API password is different from your account login password.
- Enter the API email and API password in Stellar’s SMS settings, check the connection, then select Voip.MS as the task’s OTP Provider.
- Use no more than one task per Voip.MS number. The existing guidance calls for additional numbers when running multiple profiles/tasks.
Use the existing Voip.MS API configuration link to review API access and the allowed IP address. If you move Stellar or your public IP changes, review that allowlist again.
FAQ
Where do I find the SKU?
The SKU is the product identifier near the end of a Best Buy Canada product URL.
A SKU is an item-specific identification ID that is unique to a single item. Best Buy CA SKUs tend to be near the end of the link. For example, in the link "https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/apple-airpods-max-over-ear-noise-cancelling-bluetooth-headphones-silver/15204589", the SKU is 15204589.
Do I need a Best Buy account?
The current mode is guest and uses your profile. Phone verification may still be required for a product, even though you are checking out as a guest.
Can I use a US proxy or enter the radius in kilometres?
Use Canadian proxies, as recommended by the existing retailer guidance. Radius is measured in miles. Enter the distance you are actually willing to travel for pickup.
Advanced: Existing WebSocket Setups
The developers confirmed the 4.0 WebSocket website name changed from BestBuyCaGo to BestBuyCa. Members using a custom WebSocket setup should update that retailer name. Beginners using ordinary tasks do not need a custom WebSocket.
Common Errors & Troubleshooting
Waiting for a monitor ping
Confirm that both tasks are running, their SKUs match, and the monitor’s method matches the guest task’s fulfillment. For pickup, check that the monitor and guest task cover a matching store. Watch Task intentionally waits until the appropriate stock signal arrives.
No OTP code or manual prompt
Check OTP Provider and the intended phone number first. For Manual, confirm you can receive the code and open a captcha harvester if the code-entry prompt does not appear. For an automatic service, check credentials, balance and number availability; for Voip.MS, also check SMS support, API access and the allowed public IP.
Voip.MS credentials rejected
Use the API email and API password rather than assuming your account login password is the API password. Confirm API access is enabled and the current computer/server’s public IP is allowed.
Blocked requests or repeated setup errors
Update Stellar and check current Best Buy Canada announcements. Try a known-working Canadian proxy group and verify that it is not exhausted or blocked. Do not assume a successful proxy test guarantees retailer access.
Quantity or checkout failure
Start with Qty 1 and check retailer limits, stock availability, payment details and your profile. A monitor stock signal does not guarantee that the item will remain available through checkout.
