SMS & Phone Settings
Complete guide on the SMS & Phone Settings options
The SMS & Phone tab lets you connect third-party phone/SMS verification providers to Stellar. These services are used when a site requires a one-time verification code (OTP) sent to a phone number (SMS/voice) during actions like:
Account creation (ex: new accounts that require phone verification)
Login verification (rare on some sites, common on account generators)
Security challenges / confirmation prompts
Once connected, Stellar can request numbers, receive codes, and apply them during tasks—so you don’t have to manually manage texts.
What You’ll See in Settings → SMS & Phone
This section includes connection fields for supported providers:
TextVerified Credentials (format:
email:apiKey)SMS Man API Key
Daisy SMS API Key
Hero SMS API Key
SMSPool API Key
VOIP.MS Email
VOIP.MS API Password
Text Chest API Key
Some providers include a Get Balance button to confirm your key is valid and that your account has credits.
When Do I Need This?
You only need SMS & Phone if you’re doing something that requires phone verification.
Common examples:
Account Generator tasks that prompt for SMS verification
Sites that require a phone OTP during signup
Any module that includes an SMS Input / Phone Verification option inside task creation
If you’re not generating accounts or not running modules that require phone OTPs, you can ignore this tab.
Before You Start (Important)
1) Use a supported provider
Pick one provider you want to use (you don’t need them all).
2) Add funds/credits
Most providers require credits for each SMS. If your balance is $0, you’ll get number/code failures.
3) Use the correct key format
Each provider uses a different credential format. Copy/paste carefully—most issues come from formatting mistakes.
Quick Setup (Recommended)
If you just want the fastest, most beginner-friendly setup:
Choose one provider (TextVerified is common for account generation).
Create an account on that provider’s website.
Add funds/credits.
Copy your API credentials.
Paste them into Settings → SMS & Phone.
Click Get Balance (if available) to confirm it works.
In your task, select that provider under SMS Input (or the module’s phone verification field).

How to Use SMS & Phone Inside Tasks
When a module supports phone verification, you’ll typically see something like:
SMS Input
Phone Provider
SMS Provider
OTP Method
Verification Method
Typical flow
Open task creation for the module you’re using (ex: Account Generator).
Locate the phone verification field (ex: SMS Input).
Select your provider (TextVerified / SMSMan / etc.).
Start the task.
Stellar will:
Request a number (if the provider supports it)
Wait for the OTP
Auto-fill or continue the flow when the code arrives
Manual fallback
If the module supports manual OTP entry, you can usually select Manual and type codes yourself when prompted.
Best Practices
Use one provider consistently at first (less troubleshooting).
Keep credits loaded—many failures are simply low balance.
Don’t run huge batches if your provider can’t supply numbers quickly (scale up gradually).
If a provider is rate-limiting or out of stock for a service, switch providers temporarily.
Troubleshooting
“Get Balance” fails / returns nothing
Likely causes
Invalid API key
Wrong credential format (especially TextVerified)
Provider is temporarily down
You pasted extra spaces
Fix
Re-paste credentials carefully (no spaces)
Confirm the key is active in the provider dashboard
Try again in a minute
If it still fails, test a different provider
Task says “No numbers available”
Likely causes
Provider is out of stock for that service/country
You selected a region/service not supported by the provider at the moment
Fix
Retry with a different provider
Try a different region (if your module supports it)
Wait a few minutes and retry
Task stuck “Waiting for SMS / OTP”
Likely causes
SMS delayed
Wrong provider selected in task
Provider delivered the code but task didn’t receive it due to timeout
Site never sent a code (site-side issue)
Fix
Cancel and restart the task
Confirm the provider selected matches the provider configured in Settings
Try a different provider
Reduce batch size (too many requests at once)
“Insufficient balance” or verification purchase fails
Likely cause
You’re out of credits
Fix
Add funds to your provider
Click Get Balance again (if available)
Restart tasks
VOIP.MS not working
Likely causes
Using the wrong password (needs API password)
VOIP SMS setup isn’t enabled/compatible for your use case
Fix
Confirm you used API Password
Confirm your VOIP.MS account is configured to receive messages as needed
