#### Preliminary Checklist <a href="#preliminary-checklist" id="preliminary-checklist"></a>

Before setting up tasks on Asda, make sure you have everything below prepared:

#### Profiles <a href="#profiles" id="profiles"></a>

> Create and save your checkout <https://guides.stellaraio.com/stellar/navigating-stellaraio/what-is-the-profiles-tab/how-do-i-add-a-profile> under the **Profile tab** in Stellar. These contain your billing, shipping and payment info.

#### Proxies <a href="#proxies" id="proxies"></a>

> * ISP Proxies - Recommended for some tasks - These work really well on Asda if you have unblocked ones, please also ensure they're UK located for speed
> * Residential Proxies - High quality residential proxies are also recommended to be ran too just in case ISP's get blocked
> * Save proxy group under the Proxies tab in Stellar
> * Onestop UK pool/ Icey Private v2 are currently working on Asda as of writing this guide

#### Cook Group Access <a href="#cook-group-access" id="cook-group-access"></a>

> Optional but recommended. Your cook group can help you find product URLs, SKUs and early restock alerts.

* **What mode do I use?**
  * **Normal Mode (Shipping)** - Use this checkout task for the standard shipping checkout flow.
  * **Collection Mode** - Use this checkout task when checking out items for in-store collection.
  * **Monitor Mode** - Used for monitoring stock availability for shipping. This mode will only monitor stock and wake your watch tasks when the item becomes available.
* **What does Profile mean?**
  * Select the profile you want to use, and the information stored in that profile will be used during checkout.
* **What type of proxies should I use?**
  * **ISP Proxies** - Recommended for some tasks. These perform very well on Asda when using unblocked proxies. For the best performance, ensure your proxies are UK-based.
  * **Residential Proxies** - High-quality residential proxies are also recommended as a backup in case ISP proxies become blocked.
    * Save your proxy group under the **Proxies** tab in Stellar before running tasks.
    * **Onestop UK Pool, IMMAC ISP** and **Icey Private V2** are currently working on Asda at the time of writing this guide.
* **What payment method should I use?**
  * **PayPal** - PayPal is generally recommended for Asda, as items typically remain reserved in your cart for longer, giving you additional time to complete checkout.
  * Once a successful PayPal checkout link is generated, you will receive a notification in your webhook. Use the Stellar extension to complete the checkout process.

* **Credit Card** - Credit and debit cards also work on Asda, but can occasionally decline due to profile-related issues. It's recommended to run a mix of card and PayPal tasks to see which method performs best for you.
* **How do I find the product SKU?**
  * Your cook group will usually provide the SKU in their alerts, but it can also be found in the product URL.
  * Example: `https://direct.asda.com/george/home/home-storage/pokemon-2-pack-cube-storage/060155493`
    * SKU: `060155493`
* **What is QTY?**
  * The number of items you want to purchase in a single order.
* **What is Delay?**
  * The time, in milliseconds, that the bot waits before retrying after encountering an error.
    * A good starting point is **3333ms**, which can be adjusted depending on your proxy quality and performance.
* **What is Postal Code?**
  * Your postcode used for store collection tasks. The bot will only attempt to cart stock available near the postcode entered.
* **What is Pickup Radius?**
  * The maximum distance, in miles, from your postcode that the bot will search for available collection stock.
* **What is Monitoring Delay?**
  * The time, in milliseconds, between product stock checks.
    * A good starting point is **5000ms**, which can be adjusted based on proxy quality and performance.
* **What is Reset Delay?**
  * The time, in milliseconds, before the monitor task resumes checking for stock after detecting an in-stock item.
    * A good starting point is **5000ms**, which can be adjusted based on proxy quality and performance.
* **What is a Watch Task?**
  * Enable this option on your normal checkout task. The task will remain idle until a monitor task detects stock, at which point it will automatically wake up and begin attempting checkout.

**Important Notes**

* Declines are usually caused by profile issues or products going out of stock during checkout, regardless of whether you're using Credit Card or PayPal.
* If you encounter phone number, billing, or other profile-related errors, run a test task using PayPal and correct any profile issues before the next release.
* Asda confirmation emails can sometimes be delayed, so don't worry if you don't receive one immediately.
* When testing, only run 1–2 tasks and use PayPal where possible to avoid unexpected charges.
* **CF Failed** errors are typically proxy-related. Try switching to a different proxy group and restarting your tasks.
* **If your email is already associated with an account, then you'll have errors. Make sure your emails are new!**
* **Loans are normal and are sometimes given by Asda. If you don't receive an email/shipping confirmation, then it's most likely a loan**
