The DicksSportingGoods module (often called DSG) supports website checkout for regular restocks and scheduled launches. Normal and Launch tasks attempt a purchase using your profile. Monitor tasks watch for stock and notify checkout tasks with Watch Task enabled.
Quick Start (Recommended Setup)
- Update Stellar, prepare your checkout profile and test suitable US proxies before the release.
- Create a DicksSportingGoods task group and click Create Task. Choose normal for regular restocks or launch for a scheduled website drop.
- Paste the full product URL, select acceptable sizes and set Quantity to 1 unless the product permits more. In Normal mode, enter the exact website color name if you want a specific color.
- For restocks, create a monitor task for the same URL, start with Monitor Type api and enable Watch Task on the Normal task. Run both.
- For a known scheduled drop, follow the release timing and run the checkout task with Watch Task off. Developers have warned that “Coming Soon” stock signals can be misleading before a drop.
- Start with the form’s 3000 ms checkout delay, review optional promo/cashback/scheduling settings, and create one task first. Start it only when you are ready to buy.
Preliminary Checklist
Save accurate checkout profiles with your shipping, billing and payment details. The existing DSG guidance says 3D Secure (3DS) cards are not supported; use a payment method that does not require that extra card-authentication step.
Prepare reliable US residential and/or ISP proxies. DSG’s protection is strict, and no provider guarantees success. Stella Proxies is one option from the existing guide.
An optional cook group can provide product links, release timing, quantity limits and restock alerts.
Check the setup before an important release. A running checkout task can place a real order, so only test with an item you intend to purchase. Keep another suitable proxy provider available if one is blocked.
Supported Modes
- normal — checkout for regular products and restocks.
- launch — checkout for scheduled website launches.
- monitor — stock monitoring only; signals running checkout tasks that have Watch Task enabled.
These modes are for the website. Do not assume an app-only raffle is supported: the current mode list has no app or raffle mode, and developers have previously distinguished app-only releases from website drops.
Normal Mode — Restock Checkout
Select normal in Create Task. Random is shown for the size example; only use it for a One Size item or when any offered size is acceptable.
- Name: a clear task label.
- Mode: normal.
- Profile: the checkout profile. There is no Account selector in this form.
- Checkout Proxy: select your proxy group.
- Product URL: the complete product link, not only the product code.
- Color: optional. Copy the color exactly as the website displays it, including punctuation. Blank allows a random color.
- Size: select one or more acceptable sizes. Current options include Random and numeric sizes from 3.0 through 16.0 in half-size steps. A menu option does not guarantee the product offers that size. Use Random for One Size products as described in the existing setup guidance.
- Quantity: units to buy in one order. Start with 1 and check the release limit. Do not rely on Stellar to correct an excessive quantity.
- Delay: current default 3000 ms (3 seconds). Adjust according to proxy performance and release advice; see the delay notes below.
- Promo Code: optional valid discount code.
- Watch Task?: enable for Monitor + Normal restocks. With it off, the checkout task runs independently.
- Use Rakuten? / Use TopCashback?: optional. Configure the service before enabling it and check eligibility.
- Start Time / End Time: optional scheduling. Leave blank for manual control.
- Bottom Qty: number of tasks to create, separate from product Quantity. Review the form, then click Create.
Launch Mode — Scheduled Releases
Select launch for a scheduled website drop. Use the release’s product URL and timing instructions; Launch has no separate Color field in the current form.
- Name / Mode: label the task and select launch.
- Profile / Checkout Proxy: choose your checkout profile and proxy group.
- Product URL: paste the full launch product URL.
- Size: choose only sizes you want. The same Random and numeric size choices are available.
- Quantity: units to buy; respect the product’s limit.
- Delay: current default 3000 ms. Use release-specific guidance if staff recommend a different value.
- Promo Code: optional code that applies to the release.
- Watch Task?: leave off for a known timed drop unless staff give different instructions.
- Use Rakuten? / Use TopCashback?: optional prepared cashback service.
- Start Time / End Time: optional scheduling to match your plan.
- Bottom Qty: tasks to create. Start with 1 for your initial setup, then click Create.
Monitor Mode — Stock Monitoring
Select monitor for restock detection. The current default Monitor Type is api, which developers have recommended for DSG.
- Name / Mode: label the task and select monitor.
- Monitor Proxy: select the group used to check stock. No Profile field is shown in the current Monitor form.
- Product URL: use the same complete URL as the checkout task.
- Monitor Type: normal or api. These are different stock-checking methods. Start with api; normal remains an alternative. The old api2 option is not in the current dropdown.
- Delay: current form default 3000 ms. The existing guide’s monitoring starting range is 4000–7000 ms, adjusted for proxy quality and site activity.
- Reset Delay: the existing recommendation is 5000 ms or less for continued monitoring. Follow current release guidance and avoid unnecessarily aggressive polling.
- Start Time / End Time: optional scheduling.
- Bottom Qty: number of Monitor tasks. Start with one per product, click Create, and run it alongside the checkout task with Watch Task enabled.
Begin with one API monitor. Stellar 4.0 offers normal and api monitoring; add a Normal monitor only when you want to compare methods or current staff guidance recommends it.
Product, Color & Delay Notes
Product URL example: https://www.dickssportinggoods.com/p/-/24PAAUNBLG2324SLCXFLA. Paste the full URL for the item you actually want.
Your cookgroup can help identify the correct URL and product-specific size, color and quantity details.
Color must match the product page exactly. Developers gave LIGHT BONE/CHROME/HYPER CRIMSON/BUFF as one example. Do not shorten a multi-part color name to only “White” if that is not the website’s label.
Start checkout at the default 3000 ms. For ongoing monitoring, use the existing starting range of 4000–7000 ms and a Reset Delay of 5000 ms or less, adjusted to current release guidance. Faster checkout retries increase requests and can worsen blocking; only lower the delay after checking proxy performance and task results.
If one provider is blocked, compare another suitable residential or ISP group. The existing Stella Proxies resource remains available when preparing alternatives.
Cashback Options
If you want to enable Use Rakuten, first follow the Rakuten setup guide. Cashback depends on purchase eligibility and the service’s tracking rules.
For Use TopCashback, follow the TCB setup guide and its claim instructions. Enabling a checkbox does not guarantee cashback.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need an account or captcha harvesters?
The current Normal and Launch forms use a checkout profile and have no Account or Captcha Provider field. Follow these task forms; there is no separate account or captcha-harvester setup step in this guide.
Why is Watch Task recommended for restocks but not timed drops?
For random restocks, a Monitor task can check stock while checkout tasks wait for its signal. For a known drop time, developers advised running without Watch Task because “Coming Soon” products have previously produced misleading stock signals. Follow the current release announcement if it differs.
Which proxies work best?
ISP and residential proxies are both options, and DSG’s protection can block either. Begin with a small, tested pool, keep an alternative and adjust delays if requests are blocked. No proxy type always performs best.
Common Errors & Fixes
Akamai Error / Access Denied / 403
Check current developer announcements and available updates before changing your setup. Developers have traced DSG 403 errors to Akamai handling that required a provider-side fix, so this is not always just a bad proxy. Verify your proxy group and compare another suitable provider if needed. Send persistent errors and logs to support.
Product Not Found / unexpected out of stock
Verify the complete product URL, exact color and selected sizes. Check that the item is available for website checkout rather than only an app release. A “Coming Soon” listing is not necessarily purchasable yet.
Cart Error
Check the quantity limit and selected variant. Reduce Quantity to 1 if appropriate. Only use Random size or a blank Color when you are willing to buy any available option; do not change them solely to make an error disappear.
Monitoring loop / no stock signal
Confirm the Monitor task is running for the same URL and the checkout task has Watch Task enabled. Check proxy performance and try the current recommended api monitoring method. For a timed launch, use the release’s independent-checkout instructions instead.
Payment Declined
Review billing/payment information and the existing restriction on 3DS cards. Developers have also confirmed that retailer risk checks can cause declines even after payment-flow fixes. Install available updates and check announcements. No profile or proxy change guarantees approval; send persistent problems to support with private payment details hidden.
