Use the BHPhoto module for B&H Photo guest checkout. Normal tasks buy the product; Monitor tasks check stock and can trigger matching Normal tasks.
Quick Start — Recommended Setup
- Save a checkout profile and proxy group. Have an alternative working proxy pool available if your first pool is blocked.
- Create a BHPhoto task group, choose normal and select your profile and checkout proxy group.
- Paste the full B&H product URL. Start with Product Quantity 1 and the default Delay of 3000 ms.
- For restocks, enable Watch Task and create a monitor task using the same product URL. Start both tasks so Normal can wait for the monitor’s stock signal.
- Keep within the 50-task limit. Review the setup before starting; Normal tasks can place real orders.
Preliminary Checklist
Create and save your checkout profiles under the Profiles tab in Stellar. These contain your billing, shipping and payment info.
Save proxies under Proxies before creating tasks. Proxy quality and retailer blocking matter more than a blanket “best proxy type” rule. The developers have reported residential proxies working when ISP proxies were blocked, including in manual browsing. Keep a reliable alternative pool available and check current Discord guidance.
The existing proxy recommendation links to Stella Proxies for ISP and residential options. Avoid depending on a single provider.
Have the full product URL and intended quantity ready. Start with one unit and respect the retailer’s item and household limits.
Accounts & Sessions
The current Normal form uses guest checkout with your selected profile. It does not have an Account field. You do not need to add a B&H account to follow this setup.
Supported Modes
- normal: adds the product to the cart and attempts checkout.
- monitor: checks product availability and pings running Normal tasks for the same product when Watch Task is enabled.
Normal — Checkout
- Name: optional label to identify the task.
- Mode: select normal.
- Profile: saved billing, shipping and payment details used at checkout.
- Checkout Proxy: the saved proxy group used for checkout.
- Product URL: paste the full B&H product link, not only its numeric identifier.
- Product Quantity: units requested per order. Start with 1; increase only if the listing and retailer limits allow it.
- Delay: the wait between retries after errors, in milliseconds. Start with the current default of 3000 ms. Adjust for proxy quality and blocking; lowering the delay is not a fix for a blocked proxy.
- Watch Task?: waits for a matching Monitor task instead of checking stock independently. Enable it for the restock setup below.
- Start Time and End Time: optional scheduling. Leave blank if you will start and stop the task manually.
- Qty at the bottom: number of task copies to create. This is separate from Product Quantity. Click Create to save the tasks.
Monitor — Stock Checks
- Name: optional task label.
- Mode: select monitor.
- Monitor Proxy: proxy group used for stock checks.
- Product URL: the same full product URL used by your Normal tasks.
- Monitoring Delay: interval between stock checks in milliseconds. The form defaults to 3000 ms; the existing monitoring recommendation is around 5000 ms. Adjust based on proxy quality, site responses and current release guidance.
- Reset Delay: wait before monitoring resumes after detecting stock. The existing starting recommendation is around 5000 ms.
- Start Time and End Time: optional scheduling.
- Qty at the bottom: number of monitor task copies to create.
Use Monitor + Watch Task
- Create a Normal task for your product and enable Watch Task.
- Create a Monitor task using the same product URL and a working monitor proxy group.
- Start both tasks. “Waiting for Monitor Ping” on the Normal task means it is ready to wait for stock.
- When Monitor detects stock, it pings the matching running Normal task to add the item to cart and attempt checkout.
If Watch Task is off, Normal works independently and checks the product itself before carting and checking out. Monitor + Watch Task is recommended for restocks so monitoring can handle stock checks separately from checkout.
FAQ
Where do I get the Product URL?
Open the exact item on B&H Photo and copy its full product-page link. Use the same link in your monitor and checkout tasks.
Example: B&H product URL.
What is the task limit?
The BHPhoto task limit is 50. Keep your setup within that limit and check future developer announcements for any change.
Which delay should I start with?
For Normal, start with the 3000 ms form default. Proxy quality and blocking may require a different delay. For Monitor, the existing guide recommends about 5000 ms for Monitoring Delay and Reset Delay. These are starting points, not guarantees against blocking.
Common Errors & Troubleshooting
Waiting for Monitor Ping
This is expected when Watch Task is enabled. Check that the monitor is running and both tasks use the same product. If you intended Normal to run independently, turn Watch Task off.
Cloudflare or repeated proxy blocks
Update Stellar first; the developers have released Cloudflare improvements that include BHPhoto. Check current announcements, then try a different working proxy pool. Developer reports confirm that residential proxies can work when ISPs are blocked, so do not assume every ISP will work. Adjust delays for your proxy quality instead of repeatedly lowering them.
Product does not cart or checkout
Confirm the full product URL, quantity, stock and profile details. Start with one unit. A stock signal can arrive before you successfully secure the product, and stock may sell out during checkout.
Task limit reached
Reduce your BHPhoto setup to stay within the 50-task limit before adding more tasks. Extra task copies are not the same as increasing Product Quantity in one order.
