# Getting Started with StellarAIO

Start here: install Stellar AIO 4.0, prepare your first tasks, and connect the Mobile Companion App.

Welcome to Stellar AIO 4.0. Follow this guide to install the desktop app, prepare your first retailer setup, and learn how the optional Mobile Companion App fits into your workflow.

**Video guide:** The video below shows an earlier Stellar interface. Use the written 4.0 instructions below for current tab names and setup steps.

### What is Stellar?

Stellar AIO is retail automation software for Windows and Mac. It helps you monitor supported retailers and attempt checkout for products such as trading cards, collectibles, consoles, GPUs and toys. Features and setup requirements vary by retailer and region.

Start with one retailer and a small setup. Read its guide before buying extra services or creating lots of tasks. The [Pokémon Center](https://guides.stellaraio.com/stellar/retailers/pokemon-center) and [Target](https://guides.stellaraio.com/stellar/retailers/target) guides include current 4.0 examples.

Stellar provides the software and setup support. A cook group can help you find products, release times and product IDs. Stellar does not provide resale predictions or financial advice, and running tasks does not guarantee an order.

**Before you begin:** Have your active Stellar license, a Windows PC or Mac, a reliable internet connection, valid checkout information, and proxies for your chosen retailer. A server is optional. Start with a small setup on a computer that can comfortably handle your tasks.

In Stellar 4.0, use **Accounts** for retailer accounts, **IMAP** for supported email verification, and **Harvesters** for Captcha and Shape tools. Prepare only the services required by your retailer guide.

### Install and Set Up Stellar

Download the latest desktop version from **#change-log** in the Stellar Discord. Follow the Windows or Mac installation instructions below, then activate with your license key.

* Download Stellar [Windows](/stellar/installation-uninstallation/how-do-i-download-stellaraio-windows-and-mac.md#h_d523604013) or[ Mac](/stellar/installation-uninstallation/how-do-i-download-stellaraio-windows-and-mac.md#h_6126dd8c70)
* Get your license key from the [Stellar Whop page](https://whop.com/stellaraio/license-key-management-JVLVXWY5PXkmM2/app/), copy it, and paste it into Stellar to activate. The activation screenshot below shows an older interface.

* **Set up notifications.**

  Open **Settings → Discord** to configure your Discord webhook, which sends Stellar notifications to a Discord channel. Follow the [Discord notification setup guide](https://guides.stellaraio.com/stellar/navigating-stellaraio/what-is-the-settings-tab/how-to-set-up-discord-notifications). Review other settings as needed; you do not need to fill every field or connect every service.

<figure><img src="https://1122101074-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MQL0BOlyqRRf7zyNKSf%2Fuploads%2FC2CyI2utA1a72K6LWvxh%2Fgetting-started-settings.png?alt=media&amp;token=c18c12d5-b74e-4446-8cb7-6a0ce56f8b8e" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* **Prepare Harvesters for your retailer.** Open **Harvesters** in the sidebar. Captcha Harvesters handle verification challenges; Shape Harvesters create the cookies needed for Target login and checkout. For Pokémon Center, follow the [Pokémon Center guide](https://guides.stellaraio.com/stellar/retailers/pokemon-center) to configure Captcha Harvesters and hCaptcha AI Solver. Use **Test AI** to check performance before deciding how many harvesters your computer can handle. For Target, follow the [Target guide](https://guides.stellaraio.com/stellar/retailers/target) for Shape Harvesters. You do not need every type of harvester for every retailer.

<figure><img src="https://1122101074-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MQL0BOlyqRRf7zyNKSf%2Fuploads%2Fwcq6fFlsGWDgPjuiyBRC%2Fgetting-started-captcha.png?alt=media&amp;token=d5c32ec9-29de-4df0-a42c-a23667a733a3" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* **Add retailer accounts when required.** Use **Accounts** in Stellar 4.0 to organize the logins required by your chosen retailer and task mode. Use **IMAP** only when that retailer guide requires email verification. Guest tasks do not use a retailer account. Follow the retailer guide for any login preparation before starting checkout tasks.

<figure><img src="https://1122101074-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MQL0BOlyqRRf7zyNKSf%2Fuploads%2FI4fykYQJGOKpWStQ68Mt%2Fgetting-started-accounts.png?alt=media&amp;token=3f9cdfe4-1753-4590-8e77-4edd98d3130a" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* **Add your proxies.** Proxies route task traffic through another IP address. Open **Proxies**, organize your proxies into groups, and select the appropriate group in your tasks. Use the proxy type and setup recommended by your retailer guide. Read [how to add proxies](https://guides.stellaraio.com/stellar/navigating-stellaraio/what-is-the-proxies-tab/how-do-i-add-proxies) if you need help importing them.
  * If you're looking for proxies, check out [Stella Proxies](https://help.stellaraio.com/stellar/getting-started-with-stellaraio/stella-proxies) for high quality ISP and Residential proxies

<figure><img src="https://1122101074-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MQL0BOlyqRRf7zyNKSf%2Fuploads%2F0XmyK8lRmCcACqaAmo4L%2Fgetting-started-proxies.png?alt=media&amp;token=0b5a8585-8074-400a-b1bf-fb3768b9e8fe" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* **Create your checkout profiles.** A profile stores the contact, shipping, billing and payment information Stellar uses at checkout. Open **Profiles** and add your details, then double-check them before assigning a profile to a task. A retailer account and a checkout profile serve different purposes: the account signs in; the profile supplies checkout details. See [how to add a profile](https://guides.stellaraio.com/stellar/navigating-stellaraio/what-is-the-profiles-tab/how-do-i-add-a-profile).

<figure><img src="https://1122101074-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MQL0BOlyqRRf7zyNKSf%2Fuploads%2FRFOHf8gGCl3QgJYmY4Sj%2Fgetting-started-profiles.png?alt=media&amp;token=96ef8bf9-b68b-4580-9501-9ddda4fdfdb3" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* **Create your first tasks.** Open **Tasks** and create a group for the retailer you want to run. A task is a set of instructions telling Stellar which product to monitor or attempt to buy, using your selected mode, profile and proxies. Start with a small setup and follow the retailer guide for product IDs, quantities, delays and required preparation. For example, Target uses Monitor and Shipping tasks, while Pokémon Center uses Guest tasks. Check the [Target guide](https://guides.stellaraio.com/stellar/retailers/target) or [Pokémon Center guide](https://guides.stellaraio.com/stellar/retailers/pokemon-center) before starting.

### Stellar AIO Mobile Companion App

The optional Mobile Companion App lets you control Stellar from your **iOS or Android phone**. You can create, edit, start and stop tasks, along with many of the actions available in the desktop app.

**Keep Stellar open on your computer or server.** The mobile app connects to that running desktop app. Your computer or server must remain awake and connected to the internet while you use it.

1. Download the mobile app from **#mobile-app** in the Stellar Discord.
2. In the desktop app, open **Settings → Remote Access** and select **Pair phone**.
3. Open the mobile app, tap **Scan pairing code**, and scan the QR code shown on your computer.

Complete your desktop setup first, then pair your phone when you are ready to manage it remotely.

<figure><img src="https://1122101074-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MQL0BOlyqRRf7zyNKSf%2Fuploads%2FjA9pn9ki4iUEP8vawWOq%2Fclipboard.png?alt=media&amp;token=3ee427c2-98d0-4103-8152-919b32179ac9" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://guides.stellaraio.com/stellar/getting-started-with-stellaraio/getting-started-with-stellaraio.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
